The Dumont family have farmed vineyards in the Aube district of Southern Champagne for over 200 years. Up until the 1980’s, the family simply grew grapes and sold them to the larger Champagne houses. Today, the three Dumont brothers continue to sell their grapes, but they also estate-bottle their own wines. We are so glad they do! Their Brut Tradition is composed of 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. The combination of Aube’s warmer temperatures along with its chalky, clay soils result in richer and more sumptuous wines with rounder and softer textures. Still, the wines possess that wonderful chalky minerality that real-deal Champagne is known for.
