The 117 series is a limited expression lineup that debuted in Spring 2021. Old Forester 1910- Old Fine Whisky is a double barreled bourbon in Old Forester’s Whiskey Row Series. For this release, we experimented with extended finishing by leaving the whisky in the heavily charred secondary barrel for a period of 24 months.
The Old Forester 117 Series is usually a way for the company to highlight more experimental releases. While they may not push the envelope compared to other brands' experimental lines, it still affords fans of Old Forester a way to taste a one-off whiskey, such as Old Forester 117 Series Extra Extra Old.
